You must burn as many calories as you can before to beginning the challenging at-home workout. Your movements will improve as the training gets harder thanks to this process. Exercise promotes the development of a washboard stomach. It is therefore simpler to pick a single hobby and devote more time and effort to it throughout the course of the next days. • Battlerope
  • Burpees
  • Sprints
  • Biking
  • High Knees
  • Swimming
  • Mountain Climbers

3. Work on Your Stomach for 3 Minutes

You can now move on to the challenging 3-minute workout after doing cardio. Again, you must perform this routinely. Squeeze your stomach by vacuuming it for three uninterrupted minutes. Here are the steps, in case you're wondering how to go about it.

How to Vacuum Your Stomach While Lying Down:

  • Holding your arms out to the side, roll onto your back.
  • As you unwind your body, bend your knees.
  • Lie flat with your feet on the bed.
  • Breathe out as much air as you can and hold it for 15 seconds.
  • Repeat the motions by drawing your stomach in toward your spine.

Tip: If you're experiencing trouble, don't be afraid to take a few short breaths. But aim to carry out the activity with assurance.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Latest on the U.S. Open tennis tournament (all times local):

12:10 a.m.

Making their own U.S. Open memories are Tracy Austin and Hana Mandlikova's offspring.

Austin Holt's son, Brandon Holt, won his first Grand Slam main draw match by defeating No. 10 seed Taylor Fritz in four sets after making it through the qualifying round.

Holt claims he was unable to recall the advice Austin, the U.S. Open women's winner in 1979 and 1981, gave him prior to the match, but speculates that it was probably to enjoy himself.

Austin also held a victory over Fritz's mother Kathy May during a competition held in Philadelphia in 1978.

Elizabeth Mandlik, who entered the event as a wild card, defeated Tamara Zidansek 5-7, 7-6 (3), 6-4.

One of Mandlikova's four Grand Slam singles victories came in 1985 when she won the U.S. Open.

When Danka Kovinic first heard the cheers from the audience during her match against Serena Williams, she immediately thought of one thing.

Kovinic said to herself: “OK, if they’re going to be this loud the whole match, it's going to be tough.”

She lost to Williams 6-3, 6-3, but Kovinic thought she played better than the result indicated. She felt she handled Williams' strength well, although she admitted she had some trouble with the noise.

The 27-year-old Montenegrin admitted that she occasionally found it difficult to predict how far Williams' shots would travel because she was unable to hear the racket's sound.

However, she relished the chance to challenge the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, calling it “an experience that I only could think of and dream of maybe in my entire career.”

10:50 p.m.

Serena Williams hasn't decided whether the U.S. Open will be her final tournament.

When asked if this will undoubtedly be her last competition after winning the first round on Monday night, Williams said with a knowing smile: “Yeah, I’ve been pretty vague about it, right?”

And then she added: “I’m going to stay vague, because you never know.”

Williams never formally stated that the U.S. Open would be her final tournament when she revealed three weeks ago that she was ready to retire from tennis.

___

9:55 p.m.

Serena Williams affirms that no matter what she does after tennis, she will be as dedicated as ever.

Williams says her next chapter will be “like Serena 2.0.”

Despite defeating Danka Kovinic in the first round, Williams did not formally announce her retirement during the ceremony that followed. The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, however, made it apparent that she is prepared for a variety of tasks by declaring “there’s other chapters in life.”

Oprah Winfrey narrated the memorial piece "Dear Serena," which was part of the ceremony that saw Billie Jean King, her husband, and daughter enter the court. It ended by saying: “Just know whatever you do next, we’ll be watching. With love, all of us."

9:15 p.m.

At least one more singles match will be played in what may be Serena Williams' last tournament.

Williams took command and defeated Danka Kovinic 6-3, 6-3 to earn her record-tying 107th U.S. Open triumph.

The No. 2 seed Anett Kontaveit of Estonia will be the opponent for the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion on Wednesday.

___

8:30 p.m.

Serena Williams defeated Danka Kovinic in the first set, 6-3, and is halfway to winning the U.S. Open.

Williams won the first two games, lost the next three, regained control, and then won the final two games in 55 minutes.

Williams has stated that she plans to retire from tennis, but a win would put her up against Estonia's No. 2 seed Anett Kontaveit in the second round.

___

7:35 p.m.

Perhaps for the final time, Serena Williams is back on the court she has dominated like no other.

The 23-time Grand Slam singles champion is up against Montenegrin Danka Kovinic in the opening round. Williams has stated that she is getting ready to retire from tennis, which could happen after this competition, which she has won six times.

There was far more excitement than normal for the first-day match since Spike Lee came on the court for the coin toss and Queen Latifah was the narrator of a tribute video. Williams was announced as the greatest of all time and then stepped out of the locker room wearing a glittering jacket and a long skirt.

Williams then successfully defended her serve to start the game, saving two break points by blasting back-to-back aces.

___

6:50 p.m.

After a half-hour, Serena Williams finished her last workout before the U.S. Open.

Fans chanted "Serenaaaa!" as she headed back toward Arthur Ashe Stadium along the courts. She extended her arm and waved her racket in appreciation.

She then drank some water, pursed her lips, and continued going into the stadium for what might have been her last singles match in a long and successful career.

___

6:30 p.m.

On a practice court at Arthur Ashe Stadium, Serena Williams has begun warming up before her U.S. Open first-round match.

About 45 minutes before her match against Danka Kovinic, Williams made the short trek from Ashe to the practice area, where she was greeted by cheers from the cheering crowd that had packed the stands.

Before taking her racket, Williams came over to give hugs to Wozniacki's husband, former NBA star David Lee, and her close friend, former tennis player Caroline Wozniacki.

As coach Eric Hechtman and advisor Rennae Stubbs watched, Williams and her hitting partner started exchanging shots from the baseline.

___

4:10 p.m.

The WTA Tour victory by Ukrainian Daria Snigur, her first of her career, was significant.

The 20-year-old upset the No. 7 seed Simona Halep 6-2, 0-6, 6-4 in the U.S. Open first round. She then labored through emotions to describe the significance of the triumph for her family and her nation during its conflict with Russia.

After making her final point, Snigur wrapped her hands around a pin she was wearing on her chest that was the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

Snigur claimed she may have been less anxious when she returned to the same court on Monday after taking part in the "Tennis Plays for Peace Exhibition" last week in Louis Armstrong Stadium to collect money for Ukraine.

Although Halep had just climbed back into the top 10 and had won 19 of her last 22 matches, the two-time Grand Slam champion has never fared well at the U.S. Open.

___

3:15 p.m.

The professional era's first Chinese guy to triumph in a U.S. Open match is Wu Yibing.

Wu defeated Nikoloz Basilashvili, the No. 31 seed, 6-3, 6-4, 6-0. He had qualified through the qualifying round, joining Zhang Zhizhen, a fellow countryman, to become the first Chinese man to enter the main draw of the U.S. Open since the start of the open era in 1968.

Wu took home the boys singles and doubles gold in the 2017 U.S. Open.

Tim van Rijthoven defeated Zhang in five sets.

___

2 p.m.

One of the earliest surprises of the U.S. Open saw Andy Murray advance to the second round.

Murray defeated Argentina's Francisco Cerundolo, the No. 24 seed, 7-5, 6-3, 6-3. Flushing Meadows was the site of Murray's first of three Grand Slam victories ten years ago.

16th seed Another seeded loss, Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut, was defeated by American J.J. Wolf in straight sets.

On the women's side, early victors included No. 17 Caroline Garcia and third-seeded Maria Sakkari.

___

12:20 p.m.

Outside the U.S. Open entry, a tiny group of protesters shouting "Novak! Novak!" demanded an end to the vaccination requirement for travel, which prevented Novak Djokovic from taking part in the competition this year.

Serbian-born Djokovic was unable to enter the United States because he has not received his COVID-19 vaccination. He was permitted to participate in the first two U.S. Opens that took place during the pandemic, but the new vaccine restriction went into effect on November 8 of last year.

Signs reading "End The Travel Mandate Now!" were held by activists from Families are Essential, Children's Health Defense, and Teachers for Choice.

11:15 a.m.

Serena Williams being on the schedule at night has generated a lot more buzz than normal for Day 1 of the U.S. Open.

The final Grand Slam of the year has begun, and reigning champion Daniil Medvedev will take the court early on Monday.

At noon, Medvedev takes on American Stefan Kozlov in the main match at Arthur Ashe Stadium after winning his first Grand Slam championship at Flushing Meadows last year.

In one of the matches that has already started, Andy Murray, a former U.S. Open winner, is up against Argentinean Francisco Cerundolo, the No. 24 seed.

For the start of what might be her farewell tournament, Williams will start the night session in Ashe. Faced with Danka Kovinic is the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion.

Along with former U.S. Open champions Stan Wawrinka and Bianca Andreescu, Dominic Thiem, the 2020 champion who was absent from the event last year, is also scheduled to compete.

How to Lose Weight Fast Naturally and Permanently

If you're wondering how to lose weight fast naturally and permanently, you've come to the right place. The tips we're about to share can help you shed those unwanted pounds. For a start, you should increase your intake of fruits and vegetables. Cut out processed foods and eat whole foods instead. Then, start avoiding foods that are high in sugar and fat. You might also want to drink more water.

Aloe vera juice

The benefits of drinking Aloe Vera juice are many. Drinking it regularly can aid in weight loss by flushing the body of harmful substances. It is usually recommended to drink this juice before breakfast. Aloe vera juice can be prepared by combining it with lemon juice and honey. You can also squeeze the aloe vera leaf and scrape the gel inside. Heat this mixture while stirring it to extract the juice. Drink it warm, preferably before breakfast.

The laxative properties of Aloe Vera make it an excellent laxative. It helps the body to properly process foods and stools. Proper digestion promotes the efficient metabolism of foods and a proper expulsion of waste. Water retention is one of the main causes of weight gain. Drinking Aloe Vera juice is beneficial in battling water weight. Remember to drink it in moderation, as too much can cause constipation.

Lemon water

The benefits of drinking lemon water include a reduction in calories and a decrease in weight. This diet is beneficial for the body because it contains alkaline nutrients. Lemon juice, on the other hand, can damage your teeth and can increase acidity in your body. Therefore, if you want to lose weight with lemon water, you should avoid junk food. The lemon water diet also emphasizes the importance of limiting the amount of junk food you eat and drink.

When drinking lemon water, you should remember that you should not use a hard lemon because it won't release all of the juices. Also, lemon juice containers are typically loaded with additives and preservatives, so it's important to cut the lemon in half to extract the juice. Then, pour one half of the lemon into a 16-ounce water bottle. You should follow this up with a glass of plain water.

Honey

If you want to lose weight naturally and permanently, consider taking a daily dose of honey. Honey's natural sugars help your body burn fat while you sleep, making it the ideal sweetener for tea and other beverages. It has twice the sweetness of table sugar, which is why many diet experts put honey in the same category as table sugar. Regardless of its benefits, you should avoid eating a lot of it, especially if you have diabetes.

Another great way to reduce sugar cravings is to supplement with honey. Mixing honey with warm water is a great way to curb cravings and boost your metabolism. A lemon and honey combination will also help you detoxify your body, which can boost your energy levels. Honey can be an effective weight loss solution, and there are many benefits associated with it. For a more powerful, long-lasting effect, you can add lemon, cinnamon, or garlic to your honey water.

Cutting out processed foods

There are many benefits to cutting out processed foods from your diet, but it may not be as easy as it seems. Some people find it difficult to pronounce the ingredients in food, so they simply won't buy it. But if you can follow a few simple steps, you will lose weight in no time. These include switching to more plant-based foods and eating more lean protein and healthy fats.

By eliminating high-processed foods from your diet, you can lose weight without any of the negative side effects that come with binging. These foods are loaded with extra calories and lack essential nutrients and fiber. These processed foods also tend to leave you feeling hungry later. Fortunately, there are some studies that have found that people who cut out highly processed foods from their diets lost significant amounts of weight over the course of a year. The key here is to focus on whole, wholesome foods and avoid adding artificial sugar to your meals.

Walking

Besides helping you lose weight naturally, walking also enhances your mood. It reduces stress and anxiety and decreases cortisol levels, which stimulate fat and carbohydrate metabolism and increase appetite and cravings for unhealthy foods. Walking also improves your posture and engages your entire body, which results in better strength and muscle tone. It also helps to maintain a positive attitude and maintain relationships. Walking with a partner is a great way to build your self-confidence and maintain your walking routine.

As walking is a legitimate form of exercise, you can burn a lot of calories without exercising. The amount of time and the intensity of walking you should do to lose weight depends on your fitness level. The more conditioned you are, the more calories you will burn per minute. For more information, you can consult a personal trainer, who can teach you the various techniques of walking. One such trainer is Elliott Upton, a NASM certified personal trainer.

How to Work Out at Home

While you're working out in your home, why not incorporate an outdoor workout? Not only will you get the benefits of fresh air, but you can also be motivated to do more workouts than you would at a gym. In fact, there are many ways to get outside and get some fresh air without ever leaving your home. Here are some ideas for outdoor exercises that won't leave you feeling sluggish or immobile.

Bodyweight exercises

If you want to exercise at home without spending too much money, you can try bodyweight exercises. There are many exercises you can do at home that do not require any equipment. Squats, for example, are great for the lower body, and you can do them on a mat or hard floor. The basic lunge is a great exercise that works your quadriceps, hamstrings, glutes, and calves. To perform a squat, stand with your feet shoulder-width apart.

Bodyweight exercises are ideal for building muscle and improving strength. They do not require any special equipment, and they are versatile enough to suit different training styles. Some of the most common bodyweight exercises are pushups, squats, and dips. Core exercises like planks, pull-ups, and Russian twists are also excellent bodyweight workouts. Using your own bodyweight for exercises will help you strengthen every muscle group in your body.

HIIT workouts

HIIT (high intensity interval training) is a form of exercise in which the body undergoes intense bouts of exercise followed by short rest periods. This type of workout is most commonly performed by performing a series of short, intense movements for a few minutes, and then resting for about 10 seconds. The goal is to get your heart rate as close as possible to max, and this can be accomplished by using body weight exercises.

There are several variations of this workout. For example, the hanging bar exercise involves holding a bar with both hands and pulling it up to your chin level. Do as many reps as you can in about 15 minutes, with a minute rest in between. Repeat on the other leg. This exercise will burn about 660 calories in an hour. This workout can be done with minimal equipment. All you need is a bench or low table, and a bit of time. Doing three to four rounds of 30 seconds each is sufficient.

Yoga

If you're looking for a great way to exercise at home, consider using yoga. Yoga exercises are great for your mind, body, and soul. Here are some of the best options. Practicing yoga in your own home will allow you to practice it whenever you want. And with a little bit of knowledge, you can even do yoga while watching TV. These are just a few of the many benefits of yoga.

Unlike traditional workout routines, yoga is a great way to get a complete workout at home. Although it can be slow and focuses on stretching out the body, the benefits of yoga far outweigh the limitations of a workout. Yoga exercises also offer great strength training benefits. You can combine strength training exercises with yoga to work on different muscle groups and improve your flexibility. You can also do yoga at home when the weather is bad and you need to avoid exercise for a few days.

Dance

There are a few great ways to incorporate dance into your fitness routine. If you hate to exercise, a dance workout may be the perfect option. This form of physical activity can be as simple as learning a few dance moves or can be as long as a full thirty or forty-minute routine. If you're not comfortable with dancing, practice makes perfect, so don't be afraid to start over if you have trouble.

Nerd Fitness

If you don't have the luxury of a fancy gym membership, Nerd Fitness at home can provide you with the workout equipment you need. The program uses High-Intensity Interval Training, or HIIT, to give you a full body workout. HIIT involves varying speeds and intensities, and is especially good for people who are on the go. A treadmill can provide you with the perfect exercise equipment to work up a sweat at home.

Nerd Fitness has been around since 2009, and its main product is the Nerd Academy. It is aimed at those who have limited or no previous fitness experience. It is a comprehensive guide to healthy living, and the creator, Steve Kamb, places a high value on developing healthy habits over time. As a result, his program is based on research-backed information. It also offers members-only Facebook groups and message forums where members can share their own workout routines and meet other people interested in the same fitness goals.

Apps

The number of apps for working out at home has grown substantially in recent years. These apps are designed to help you get fit from the comfort of your home, and many of them even offer special deals to lure users. You can choose from prerecorded workout videos or follow a live class. Depending on your needs, you can choose a variety of cardio, strength, yoga, or other workout classes. You can also find personalized workouts that are tailored to your fitness goals and fitness level.

The Jefit app allows you to keep track of your workouts and monitor progress over time. The app has already registered some of the more common workouts, but you can also add your own. Once you've created a routine, you can use the app to track your progress and record your weight and measurements. There are even community features to help you make the most of the app's features. There are even quarterly contests to give you a virtual boost in your workout routine.

Deshaun Watson will miss six games

Deshaun Watson will miss six games

Deshaun Watson, the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, has been sentenced to a six-game suspension without pay by NFL disciplinary officer Sue L. Robinson, the league confirmed on Monday. The penalty came after 24 women accused Watson of sexual misconduct, resulting in legal lawsuits and Watson's suspension until 2021. In June, Watson resolved 20 of the complaints brought against him.

According to Robinson's ruling, the six-game suspension is "the most serious punishment ever imposed on an NFL player for claims of non-violent sexual conduct," and "Mr. Watson's pattern of conduct is more egregious than any heretofore assessed by the NFL," she added.

According to NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy, Robinson found Watson guilty of "several infractions of the NFL Personal Conduct Policy." She specifically claimed that the NFL had established that Watson had committed acts of sexual assault (as the NFL defines it), conduct endangering others, and conduct undermining the league's integrity.

Some of the more than 60 massage therapists that Watson worked with over the course of a 15-month period, from late 2019 through the winter of 2021, were the ones who leveled the charges against him.

According to Robinson, Watson "had a sexual intent — not merely a therapeutic reason" when scheduling massage appointments. According to Robinson, there is enough evidence to show that Mr. Watson was aware or should have been aware that any touch between his penis and these therapists was not desired.

Two grand juries in Texas earlier this year decided not to indict Watson on any criminal charges, paving the way for his eventual comeback to the field of play. Through the NFL Players Association, Watson has three days to appeal the ruling. The league itself may appeal on its own behalf.

The NFL claims it will decide what happens next after examining Judge Robinson's decision to impose a six-game suspension. Robinson, a former federal judge who served in the U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware, retired and immediately started working for the NFL.

Watson had "an great reputation in his community prior to these incidents," Robinson noted in describing the criteria she used to determine his penalty, noting that he cooperated with the inquiry and made restitution. Watson, who has emphatically denied acting inappropriately during the massage sessions, hasn't shown any regret either, she claimed. She also pointed out that when the initial complaint was filed in March 2021, he did not immediately notify the NFL.

Robinson stated, "Mr. Watson displayed a reckless disregard for the implications of his action, which I find equal to purposeful conduct," regarding the NFL star's motivations before to and during the massage sessions. When the accusations against Watson first surfaced, he was playing for the Houston Texans. He agreed to a five-year contract in March to play quarterback for the Browns.
